Springtime in Alaska can be a real challenge visually… for those of you who know, it’s a pretty dirty gloomy few weeks. But this awesome family livened it up with some vibrant color – and a few shots in the portable studio balanced it all out. Even the family beagle got involved!

These two cuties were totally ready for Easter – and for candy! After a few shots at home, we hit up the local community egg hunt at Mirror Lake Middle school where these two loaded up their baskets with eggs… and candy :)

Little Zoey is now 6 months old! I can’t beleive how fast little ones grow up… It was my pleasure to do a quick family photo session for this beautiful family! It was incredibly cold outside, so we only did a few snow shots, but this family is so gorgeous, that was all we needed!

And a few baby Zoey shots!

I had the opportunity to photograph up at Glen Alps recently - it was super windy, but absolutely beautiful!
This little kiddo was full of energy – and LOVED hamming it up for the camera, here are just a few snaps from our session:

I got to photograph this fun couple just before Christmas, who were willing to get out there and brave the elements for a quick session. It was cold, cold, cold, but they were real troopers! We got some great shots with the giant Christmas tree, and even though we were all bundled up – it was a lot of fun! (Can’t you just see the ice fog in the air?!)

I had a wonderful time photographing the Simmons family this past weekend. Their boys are so much fun! In order to get them jazzed up about being photographed i promised they would get to throw snow balls at their parents – which they loved. BUT, true to Alaska, the weather has not been cooperating lately. Instead of snow, all we have is a layer of white ice all over the ground. The boys had to scavenge the trees to shake out some snow – but they did it!

I’m pretty sure mom got pegged right in the face on this one… whoops! But wasn’t it worth it? Look at that shot ;)

And a nice happy family shot – what a gorgeous family! Even the dog looks great ;)
