Rusty and Kali had a beautiful wedding at the Artic Valley Ski area in the Chugach Mountains State Park. This spot is especially dear to me as it’s where I was married (although there have been some significant improvements in the facility since we rented it…)
Rusty and Kali had an absolutely beautiful day – they rented the chair lift to take friends and family to the top of the mountain, as well as for some spectacular photo ops – and the weather cooperated beautifully!
Kali not only did all her own flowers (she actually grew them!) she did her beautiful cakes as well! I think she must have a super woman cape under her dress… I know I would never have been able to pull all that off! There were so many beautiful special touches to this wedding – from the custom designed umbrellas (in case of rain – well worth it for an August wedding in Alaska! I think the reason we had such a beautiful days is BECAUSE they had umbrellas!) to the DIY dance floor (snap together laminate flooring! Genious!) to Kali’s blue cowboy boots (her grandmother’s dancing boots – so love that!) It was such an honor to be part of their special day!
